I'll keep this one short and sweet since my 12th month update will be quite lengthy I'm sure.
You aren't doing too many new things since my last update. You have 4 teeth now, the second top one has just now pushed through. You have a huge gap between them and it's adorable. Those top teeth were not fun! We also brush, brush, brush them! You love to brush those teeth and smile and squeal when you see your pink dinosaur toothbrush and fruity flavored toothpaste. It's so cute. I hope you continue on this path of loving bath time and brushing teeth and hair.
You still aren't walking on your own yet. I can sometimes get a step or two out of you, but for the most part you still like to hang on to mommy and daddy's fingers for support. You do however; stand on your own. I know without a doubt you can handle walking on your own, but you are still so unsure about it. I'll stand in front of you and try to coax you with a goldfish or Mia (Mia hates me for that) but you still squat back down to crawling. That's ok, you will walk when you are ready.
We are now starting to have some mild meltdowns when you don't get what you want. They are very short lived but they consist of crying and then throwing yourself down face first on the floor. I ignore it and 5 seconds later you are fine and right back to playing. 99.9% of the time you are a joy to be around. You are seriously the best little traveler, eater, player and cuddler. We need to work on your not being so clingy to mommy and go to daddy a little more willingly. You also need a little more interaction with other babies. Little People's School at the church wont take babies under 15 months so I'm going to look into some other options.
I guess that's about it for now. We are doing our 1 year photo shoot later this week so I'll be sure and post a sneak peek of those and our birthday party progress. Caroline doesn't go back to the doctor until September 23rd (her actual birthday, poor kid has to get shots on her birthday) so we will have stats then. I guess that wasn't exactly short and sweet, but I get on a roll! :)

Happy Birthday Scotty Wayne!!!
So I'm a little behind with Scott's birthday post. Being busy everyday until 1:30, chasing Caroline around and then planning a bridal shower, I haven't had too much time to blog. Sorry sweety! Anyway, Wednesday the 3rd was Scott's birthday. It was low key but I made him a great birthday dinner. Chicken Tetrazinni, salad, crescent rolls and a Kahlua cake for dessert. All per his request. His big birthday gift is a grill guard for the front of his truck from me and the family. As soon as work slows down for him and time allows, he will get that put on right away!! Every year Scott is so incredibly busy with work, his birthday seems to come and go in a flash and we can't seem to get a good celebration in. Well, next year for the big 3-0, work or no work, there will be a big bash!!! Happy 29th Birthday sweety. Thank you for taking such great care of your girls and we love you so much!! Enjoy your last year in your 20's!!! :)

Bridal Shower Fun!!
Saturday my mom and I gave one of my best friends, Ashley a bridal shower. I had a lot of fun planning for everything and it went off without a hitch. I've always been the "co-host" with the showers I've been involved with, so this was the first time I was able to do everything I wanted and pictured in my head! Also having a talented Mom around didn't hurt either. We had a great turn out and everyone was so nice and loved all of the food and decor. Here are a few pictures of the event!

10 Months!!
I'm a little behind on Caroline's 10 month post. The days seem to get away from me a little quicker now with Logan being here until after 1, and then I use the afternoon to take care of my day to day things. Anyway, this month the main question is, what is this child NOT up to??? She is busy, busy, busy. She is talking more with a few new words added to her vocabulary, so now we are saying: ma ma, da da, ba ba, tay (but it sounds more like "atayyyyy", we can't figure out if she is saying Tanner (our yellow lab) or "Ok". She's also saying "da" and points to the dogs. And she is into those dogs!! Mia will have nothing to do with her and if Caroline gets too close she gets a little snippy. Tanner on the other hand is wonderful with her. We are letting him stay inside right now because the heat is just too much. She can crawl all over him, pull his ears, tail, lip and the dog won't flinch. Poor guy. She loves to crawl up on his bed with him and just lean back on him, its too cute. Caroline has mastered two new milestones this past month and that is cruisin' with her baby stroller and standing alone. I have a feeling that by the 11th month post we will be walking, if not sooner. I give her 2-3 weeks. It's extremely bitter-sweet. I can't believe my baby will be walking soon!!! Just when I start to relax a little with her pulling up and not busting her face we start entering the walking stage where I know there are going to be many boo-boo's and tears.
Her first birthday party planning is in full force!! Originally we were going to be having it up in North Texas, but changed our minds. Her first birthday is super special and important so we wanted to have it here in Katy. We have rented out Firethorne's clubhouse, cake has been ordered, invites have been ordered, balloons, and theme has been set!! I can't wait! I was asked the other day what I wanted for MY birthday and it hadn't even crossed my mind. My birthday is 3 days before Caroline's and I guess when you and your child's birthday is so close, yours isn't so important anymore. And that is totally fine by me, I would not have it any other way.
A few other things:
-Size 3 diapers
-Still 4 5 ounce bottles a day
-Still eating some jar food, but eats everything we eat
-Ate her first "real" meal of big people food and it was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and sweet peas!!
-Loves pizza!
-Loves fruit!!
-Started introducing organic whole milk and she doesn't quite know what to think about it.
-Still only 2 bottom teeth but I don't think the top two are far behind.
I guess that's about it for now!!!

We're Cruisin'!!
New milestone!! Cruisin'!!! Caroline loves her little baby stroller. Typically she doesn't like a "baby" in it, but she loves to push it around. She is still taking tumbles and may pull it over on top of her at times, but gets right back up. She's a tough little one!
| She's really movin here! |

Happy 4th of July!!!!!
It was Caroline's first 4th of July and it was a success!!! We camp up at Lake Texoma every year and always have a blast. Last year I was very pregnant and went to bed before fireworks so I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I usually do. This year I was a little worried about being at the lake with Caroline for three straight days. I didn't know how she would handle it. I kinda knew she was a huge outdoor girl but this past weekend confirmed it. She played and splashed in the lake and on the sandy beach. Not a thing bugged her, not even the heat. Luckily we had a nice air-conditioned trailer to come back to for nap time and snacks so that added a ton of relief. Every year there is a golf cart parade. Everyone decks out their golf carts in 4th of July decor and there's a contest. This year Scott and I cleaned up my Dad's golf cart and decked it out. We won first place!!!! I never would have dreamed that we would have won because you wouldn't believe some of the work these people put into their golf carts!! We had a great time but were so worn out by Monday. Below are a few pictures!

Avery & Caroline meet at last!!!
This past Friday when Scott, Caroline and I were headed to North Texas for the 4th of July we stopped by the Glover's to see their new home and for them to meet Caroline for the first time. So sad that it has taken 9 months but we finally got it together and had a great visit. Ashley took a ton of pictures of the girls and captured some great ones. Click here (hopefully that will work) to see Ashley's blog and pictures of them playing. Caroline thought Avery was about the funniest thing she had ever seen and loved all of the "new" toys to play with. We had a great visit with them and miss them very much!!!! Thanks for taking such great pics Ashley!!!
