I'll keep this one short and sweet since my 12th month update will be quite lengthy I'm sure.
You aren't doing too many new things since my last update. You have 4 teeth now, the second top one has just now pushed through. You have a huge gap between them and it's adorable. Those top teeth were not fun! We also brush, brush, brush them! You love to brush those teeth and smile and squeal when you see your pink dinosaur toothbrush and fruity flavored toothpaste. It's so cute. I hope you continue on this path of loving bath time and brushing teeth and hair.
You still aren't walking on your own yet. I can sometimes get a step or two out of you, but for the most part you still like to hang on to mommy and daddy's fingers for support. You do however; stand on your own. I know without a doubt you can handle walking on your own, but you are still so unsure about it. I'll stand in front of you and try to coax you with a goldfish or Mia (Mia hates me for that) but you still squat back down to crawling. That's ok, you will walk when you are ready.
We are now starting to have some mild meltdowns when you don't get what you want. They are very short lived but they consist of crying and then throwing yourself down face first on the floor. I ignore it and 5 seconds later you are fine and right back to playing. 99.9% of the time you are a joy to be around. You are seriously the best little traveler, eater, player and cuddler. We need to work on your not being so clingy to mommy and go to daddy a little more willingly. You also need a little more interaction with other babies. Little People's School at the church wont take babies under 15 months so I'm going to look into some other options.
I guess that's about it for now. We are doing our 1 year photo shoot later this week so I'll be sure and post a sneak peek of those and our birthday party progress. Caroline doesn't go back to the doctor until September 23rd (her actual birthday, poor kid has to get shots on her birthday) so we will have stats then. I guess that wasn't exactly short and sweet, but I get on a roll! :)
