Progress!!!

I've made a lot more progress on this thing today than I thought I would in a week!  Thank goodness for good online tutorials!! Still have a lot of tweaking to do as you can see the header is a blurry mess!  I'm done for today though!!

Sorry for the mess...

Our blog is about to be undergoing maintenance!! It's time for a change so bare with me, as I am not the savviest when it comes to these darn things! It's going to look a little more rough at times until I get things perfected. It will probably be a month because knowing me, I'm going to get irritated and walk away several times!! :)

Easter Weekend 2012

We had a wonderful, relaxing Easter weekend this year.  Scott was off Friday so we had another 3 day weekend together, (I am enjoying all the time with him possible, as he is about to be traveling and at the office for some late nights very soon).  Friday I had my normal routine with Logan and Caroline until 12:30.  Scott did the yard and washed the cars while I kept the girls.  Caroline had her gym class at 1 and while her and Daddy were at that I ran to the grocery store and ran a few more errands.

Saturday we had our annual Firethorne spring festival and Easter egg hunt.  It was the most perfect weather for it.  We've been having training sessions in our backyard for the past week getting her ready for it.  And she was! Only problem was when we held our hunts in the backyard she didn't have to wait, she could go straight for the eggs.  However; at the community hunt, the eggs were spread all over the Lacrosse Fields and she could see that.  I spent the first hour running after her and redirecting her away from the eggs.  About 5 minutes until the hunt started, the parents and their kids lined up on the side of the field including C and I.  It was probably the longest 5 minutes of Caroline's life.  She didn't understand why she was being held back and the flood gates opened.  5 minutes of temper tantrum and tears.  I just had to sit back behind her and hold on to her dress to keep her from going forward.  I have to say, she did pretty good for herself and collected a whoppin' 5 eggs!  Mom and Dad got the candy that was in them.  I know, we are Easter grinches but Caroline very rarely gets anything sugary.

They also had pony rides and a petting zoo.  She was really infatuated with this young goat until he rammed a little boy with his antlers.  We got outta there, so did the little boy. Haha, I'm still laughing about that.  Poor goat had enough with the kids.

After the festival we came back to the house and threw ribs, chicken and sausage on the smoker.  I made pasta salad, beans and bunny bait.  Caroline had a great nap then we headed over to our neighbors and friends for some pool time.  It was perfect!  Caroline is turning into a little fish.  She holds her breath and completely submerges and swims under water.  She's got the dog paddling down and can now hold onto the side of the pool to keep her head above water.  I love that she's not afraid of the water.

Easter Sunday was just a day of Scott, Caroline and I.  It's times like that when we miss our family in North Texas.  We miss going to Church as a family and all the family gatherings.  We still had a very nice day and the Easter Bunny was very good to Caroline.  Below are some pictures from our weekend, a few are from my cell phone so the quality isn't as good!  I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter.

Wasn't too sure about him!

Baby pigs!

This was the goat that rammed everybody! haha

And their off!!!

Her balloon flower that popped the minute she dropped it on the grass!!

I hope she likes the sand in Florida!!

My Gym!

Last week I enrolled Caroline in a little toddler gym class called My Gym.  It's a nationwide franchise and we had a free class to see how we liked it.  I was really impressed with the teachers, cleanliness, equipment, etc.  Her age group falls into the "Little Waddlers" class.  She absolutely adores it and was DEVASTATED when we left. Scott felt like taking the day off last Friday so he joined us and took a few pictures.  She will now be going every Friday afternoon for an hour and there is free play time several times a week when can stop by and exert some energy! I know what we will be doing when its too hot to be outside this summer!

When we first arrived.  She was busy just soaking it all in.

What do I do first?

She knows how to jump on a trampoline but she really liked watching herself in the mirror.

This was her favorite.  She got her sea legs down quick!!

This one too! Her stance was so wide it was cracking the teacher up!

Havin' a blast!
