Caroline is going to be a...

BIG SISTER!!!!!!!!!

And she is going to be absolutely awesome at it.  We've had a lot of practice with little miss Logan around this past year.

I had my 2nd doctors appointment today and boy was it is a scary one.  I always get a little nervous at these appointments and with good reason.  First appointment I went to, I was at 6 1/2 weeks.  I had my first ultrasound and baby's heartbeat was 125, normal for that time frame, but still made me nervous when all of my friends baby's heart rates were in the 150's and 160's.  Today I go in for my 2nd and I knew they were going to be checking the fetal heart rate with the regular hand held doppler.  Nurse came in, listened, and listened, and listened, and listened... nothing.  Doctor came in... listened and listened, and so on.  Nothing. You can imagine what I'm feeling at this point, I don't care that its hard to hear the fetal heart beat via the doppler at 10 1/2 weeks, I want to hear it!! I was very discouraged because when I was pregnant with Caroline it popped up immediately. Next, they schedule me in for a sonogram.  I have to wait for this about 15 minutes, longest 15 minutes of my life.  We get called back and as soon as she started there it was... baby was flipping and kicking and moving all over the place.  Heartbeat was 167!! RELIEF! I knew things had to be ok with how I've been feeling.  It's been awful.  Which explains why I did not make my high school reunion.  There was no way I could have toughed it out, and I am extremely bummed I missed everyone.

We are very excited about our new addition and couldn't be happier!! Below are some pictures we snapped at Caroline's 2 year photo shoot.  Luckily the timing worked out perfectly and we were able to capture these shots!

Scott's Dirty Thirty

Scott turned 30 on August 3rd, I know, like I said earlier I've been very neglectful of my blog.  It's been on the bottom of the totem pole lately, but now that things are settling, hopefully I can be more attentive.  Anyway, when I was thinking of ways to celebrate I thought what better way than to have a "Dirty 30 Mustache Bash."  Since he' has a mild obsession with mustaches I found it quite fitting.  We were a little worried nobody would participate but to much of our surprise almost all the guys showed up with a pretty nasty 'stache.  It was a good time, and our lovely neighbors opened up their backyard to allow access to their pool and horseshoe pit. We took down a fence pallet and it allowed the party to flow back and forth perfectly.  Here are some of the pictures, and I'll say right now, there's no words needed for a few of them.

Cupcakes & Mustaches cakes made by your's truly!!

Kinda hard to see, but everything had mustaches! :)

The very bottom says "Group rates apply" I know, tacky, but it was dirty!!

Playing Catch Up!

Wow, have I been so neglectful of the blog lately.  I have sooooo much catching up to do and will try my hardest to get completely caught up by the end of the week.  I can't believe I haven't even uploaded, edited or posted any pictures of Scott's 'Dirty 30 Mustache Bash'. With that being said, I have TONS of pictures to upload and edit.  I was just going through my camera and I have my work cut out for me.  We have been super busy with home improvements, Scott had his busy time at work and in the midst of all that, I'm running myself ragged chasing after an 18 month old and a almost 2 year old.  Not to mention planning that 2 year old's birthday party coming up in a couple of weeks.  Throwing two birthday parties within 6 weeks of each other has wore me out.  Stay tuned, I'll try my hardest, while I'm typing this I find myself typing a sentence and turning around or getting up to see what the girls are up to.  Whew!!!!
