Baby Logan

Precious Baby Logan was born to our sweet neighbors Richard and Brandi, in the wee hours of the morning on March 21, 2011.  She was released from the hospital on Thursday March 24th, and on Friday morning the 25th, started suffering from irregular breathing patterns and little movement.  She was rushed to Memorial Hermann (Katy) and then life-flighted to Texas Children's in the Medical Center.  After many tests they diagnosed her with three heart defects.  To read the rest of her story please click here.  Prayers for quick healing so they can get this little girl home are much appreciated.

Some of my favorite things!!

Well, I guess I will join the crowd and let everyone in on a few of my favorite things.  This is such a cute idea and I've actually found a few things on some of my friends lists that I would like to try out!

First and foremost... my #1 favorite thing is my clarisonic facial cleanser.  I don't go a day without using it, and I hardly ever breakout.  I also use change out the brush head to the body brush and do my arms and it keeps them super smooth!!

Hope in a jar!  I love this stuff.  It's an all-natural water-based moisturizer that leaves your skin feeling amazing.  Might be a tad on the pricey side, but a little goes a long way and it will last you a long time.  I love putting it on before my makeup and it leaves your skin with a pretty dewy look.  LOVE IT!!

Oxi-Clean Gel Stick- before Caroline joined us I didn't have to pre-treat clothes very often.  Now I find myself doing it before every load of laundry I do.  This works fabulously and smells wonderful.

Medela Steamer Bags- I don't have a plastic microwave bottle/nipple sterilizer.  Instead I use the medela micro steam bags.  Let me just say that they are the most convenient things ever.  You can use one bag up to 20 times, throw everything in there (including paci's), add 3 ounces of water and in 1 minute and 30 seconds everything is ready to go.  Very easy to travel with as well!





Goldfish Cinnamon Grahams!  Pure Genius! Brilliant! Such a great snack and totally craves my sweet tooth!

That's about it I guess.  I could totally go on and on but I'll spare you!! :)

Happy 1/2 Year C!!!

Yesterday was Caroline's 6 month birthday.  How it has already been 6 months is beyond me.  She is growing so fast and changes everyday.  Today we went for our 6 month well check and everything is perfect.  She is perfect.  She is right on schedule with her growth and development.  Her social interaction is what kills me.  She has such a stinkin' cute personality and loves people.  My mom was telling me the other day I'm going to have to really educate her on "stranger danger" if she continues to be so warm and welcoming to everyone, even strangers.

Today she weighed in at 15 lb 12 oz.
Length- 26 3/4 inches (In the 85th percentile, wonder where she gets that from) :)

Other things she's up to:

-4 bottles a day
-2 1/2 to 3 jars of stage 2 food- she loves bananas, peaches, peas, green beans, mixed vegetables, squash, sweet potatoes, all mixed fruits with oatmeal and grains, etc.
-2-4 oz. of apple, pear, or prune juice in her sippy cup (she will hold on to her sippy cup but not her bottle)
-She will sit up by herself now and can get from a sitting position onto her stomach with her knees drawn up underneath.  (Wont be long until she starts scootin' a little)
-She LOVES Dora and Bubble Guppies.  If she hears either one she's twisting and turning to see the t.v.
-She's starting to get some consonants down such as "dada" even though she doesn't really now what it means yet. She squeals, laughs and smiles uncontrollably.

We love Caroline so much and she makes us laugh so hard on a daily basis.  I couldn't imagine life without this precious baby girl!  Mommy and Daddy love you C!!

Nana got her the jumperoo for Christmas, but not until recently has she been able to touch the floor and really get after it!

My Best Friend's Wedding!!

On March 12, 2011 my best friend Brooke married the love of her life, Mr. Baron Barrett.  Scott and I were so happy to be able to share this wonderful day with them.  The wedding was so beautiful and probably had the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen.  I wish them a lifetime full of happiness and joy.  Love you guys!
