Poor Blog!

To say that I've neglected my blog is an understatement.  The blog is now on the bottom of the totem pole for the time being.  I'll get Christmas and the Holidays up when I get a chance.  I've also been working on Caroline and Ava's rooms like crazy.  Transitioning Caroline's room completely to a big girl room, along with transitioning our guest room to a nursery has been very busy/hectic.  Lot's of re-organizing going on! Our office is now our office/guest room.  We are seriously utilizing every bit of space in our house!! Which is a good thing... but a bigger house is inevitable especially since we plan on 3 kids. Game room is at the top of the list!!!

While I'm here I have to update on how Caroline did with her transition to her big girl bed.  I was prepared for several nights of craziness.  I've heard transitions to a regular bed can be quite the nightmare, so you can imagine how pleasantly surprised Scott and I were with how awesome Caroline has done from night one.  We had been talking about it constantly, telling her how it was going to be, and made it a huge deal.  She was very excited.  When bed time came, we tried to keep our routine as normal as possible.  We got her all tucked in and left the room.  I went to the living room and immediately started watching her on the monitor.  The kid didn't move... she tossed Minnie Mouse around for awhile and then eventually fell asleep about 20 minutes later and did not get up until I came to get her the next morning.  Every night since then has been a complete replica of night one in the big girl bed.  She goes to her bed, we tuck her in, turn on her projector, and she's out in 10-20 minutes and stays in bed until Scott or I come to get her the next morning. Sometimes it's hard to get her out of bed! We will sit down next to her and say "Ok, Caroline, lets get up and go potty" and 99% of the time she replies with "No, I want to stay in bed"! Silly girl, hope this isn't a glimpse into our future on what getting her up for school is going to be like.
